Calella is a seaside town on the Costa del Maresme, 58 km northeast of Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is located on the coast between Sant Pol de Mar and Pineda de Mar. It is a town with more than 650 years of history, and about three kilometers of beaches with clean sand and intense blue waters. With its location makes it a first-class coastal destination awarded with the European quality Blue Flag - Calella beach.
The International Folk Festival “Grand Alegria” is a non-competitive sample of traditional dances performed by folklore groups. On the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, choirs, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. The age of the participants is not limited.

The participation fee covers 5, 6, or 7 days accommodation in 3*/4* Hotels on Full Board Basis (3 meals per day), invitation letter, gifts, participation at 3 concerts, and expenses of the festival organization. The fee does not cover travel insurance and transfers.
The Groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 and 4 beds with their own bathroom. Each Group can have 2 double rooms, guaranteed by Festival which can be used for the Leaders and Drivers.
Extra charges:
Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Each participant group should pay 30% in advance after receiving the official invitation. After this date (05.06.2022) advance payment is not refunded.
The groups coming by bus can use their own transport all the time during the festival and the small journeys around the city.
The Parking for the buses is paid by the group at the rate set on the parking place. (approximately 20 euro per day).
The festival organizers will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from Barcelona or Girona airports, and back to the same airport. The cost of the bus transportation will be paid by the groups and will cost 720 Euro (less than 30 people) and 770 Euro (more than 30 people) for both directions.
