The International Festival “Emerald Island” is a non-competitive festival of traditional and modern dances. On the festival may participate children and youth folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, choirs, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. The age of participants is not limited.
The festival will be held in Thassos one of the most amazing Greek Islands surrounded by the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea, near the northern coast of Greece. Here you can immerse yourself in a breathtaking natural environment and get to know a laid-back culture that warmly welcomes every visitor.
The groups will be accommodated in Apartments & Hotels in Potos on a Half Board Basis with 2 meals per day. The groups will be accommodated in rooms with 3 and 4 beds and multiply bed rooms with their own bathroom. Each Group can have only 2 double rooms which can be used for the Leaders and Drivers. The breakfast and lunch will be organized in the hotel or restaurants very close to the apartments. On 25 participants, every 26th participant is free of charge.
Extra charges for: Double Room: 8 euro/person/day | Single Room: 30 euro/day | Extra night: 42 euro/person/day
The festival organizers will organize the transport for the groups coming by plane by picking them up from the airport, during the festival days, and back to the same airport. The cost of the transportation will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed upon according to their number.
The groups coming by bus can use their own transport all the time during the festival and the small journeys around the city.
Participation fee can be paid via bank transfer or in cash on the day of arrival. Each participant group should pay 30% with the initial application to confirm. The second payment of 40% should be paid 60 days before the Festival, and 30% should be paid 10 days before the official start of the fesitval. Final list of participants must be given 30 days before the Festival. After that date advance payment is not refunded.

The groups should pay the travel expenses by themselves to Thassos and back.
The groups coming by bus can use their own transport all the time during the festival and the small journeys around the city. Any expense caused by the usage of the bus (accident, robbing, breakdown, etc) should be covered by the vehicle’s insurance. Each member must have travel insurance policy.
Free Parking
The groups coming by plane should organize the transportation from their country to airport (Kavala / Thessaloniki) and back. The cost of the transportation from airport to hotel will be covered by the group and will be additionally agreed according to their number.
